A restaurant in Berlin. Photo: Jeff Schaller
My friend
Jeff Schaller was in Berlin recently and snapped a photo of the restaurant wall, above, using his camera phone. He said that when he saw it, he thought of this painting of mine, posted below. What are the odds that two painted entities would be so inexplicably similar
and that an artist would have seen one and remembered the other?

Great colors.
Fabulous!! There is a slight resemblance.
Your work is always memorable, Joanne!
The artist inspiration comes outside us, it´s floating. Sometimes we pick up from the same place.

Hi JoAnn, I imagine you might get several comments like mine.
A friend saw a painting of mine in "Architectural Digest". Don't I wish. And I saw my painting in the window of a bank in Houston, Texas where no painting of mine has ever been.
I think it's about living at the same time and responding to similar stimuli. After all, how different can we be?
