There was a good deal of cut paper throughout the various venues, but I'm focusing on these three artists because their focus is so specific. They employed paper that was meant for a purpose other than artmaking.

Sarah Sze turned to lined notebook paper. Jill Sylvia used ledger paper, and unlike Sze who employed laser cutting, she did it all by hand--line by line, page by page. Jorge Macchi used the obituary pages of the Buenos Aires newspaper, La Nacion.
